“Amazing and Thorough”

Throughout my whole visit from start to finish, I was able to inquire about all the concerns I had. Everything advised to me was accurate and true. Any worry he makes you feel comfortable to speak and come in to his staff. Pre and post op he gives you everything upfront and makes your worries go away. Every surgery is different but my personal experience has been more than exceptional.

“Excellent Service and Professionalism”

I feel so blessed to have met Dr. Hwee. I was struggling with armpit lumps for over 10 years. Out of fear I refused to have surgery. I decided to visit Plastic Surgery Specialist of South Florida and had the best consultation. I was still nervous deciding whether or not to have surgery in the hospital or do the procedure in the office. Due to hospital costs I went with local anesthesia and did the procedure in their office. The procedure went smoothly and Dr. Hwee communicated with me every step of the way. I recovered quickly and my scar has healed perfectly!! Thanks Dr. Hwee!

Dr. Hwee was an absolute pleasure - despite my serious diagnosis. Cancer is never an easy disease to process or overcome, but Dr. Hwee made it understandable. His patience and attention to detail and explanation was comforting! He answered questions from myself and my husband always with a smile. As a breast cancer survivor, I was concerned about life and appearance post-mastectomy. Dr. Hwee performed an expander implant post-mastectomy and a subsequent exchange surgery for a permanent implant with fat grafting. Both surgeries were a perfect success from the medical standpoint, and the cosmetic outcome is amazing. Dr. Hwee has been a true professional, with great bedside manners, throughout the process. “Fantastic Nasal Surgery Experience”

I had to have surgery for a deviated septum, my ENT recommended I also consider a plastic surgery component. I visited Dr. Hwee for a consultation and felt relieved from the first visit. I was concerned that my nose would have to change drastically to accommodate the need changes. Dr. Hwee guarenteed he would try his hardest to keep it the same. Post surgery now, you can't even tell anything was done, however my quality of breathing has increased more than I ever thought possible. Additionally, during my recovery, I had a few complications - Dr. Hwee rearranged schedules to see and scheduled additional follow-ups to make sure I was comfortable and back on track for the proper healing process.

“Wonderful Doctor Barnavon is a godsend”

After experiencing three capsular contractures in the same breast (post mastectomy) I switched surgeon, and found Dr Yoav Barnavon. From the very first time my husband and I met him, we were impressed with his openhearted and reassuring tone. He took the time to listen to our concerns. He gave us several choices on which surgery we may proceed with, including the "muscle sparing latissimus flap." In 2018 I had had a latissimus flap for the breast affected by cancer; the surgery was successful and I never developed capsular contracture on that side. We decided to proceed with the less invasive MSLF. The morning of surgery, Dr Barnavon retrieved his 'palette' of markers and prepared me for surgery, as he drew with fine point markers of diverse colors the painstaking details of his impending cuts. He is not just a great surgeon, he is also a masterful artist. My scar is now barely visible. I'm absolutely delighted, and recommend Dr. Barnavon to everyone.

When I went to visit Dr. Barnavon I came with all my hopes up, I knew he could be the one, and he was. After my diagnose of breast cancer, I had a horrible experience with my previous plastic surgeon, so I needed someone to help me.
Dr. B gave me what I really needed, hope, and a great outcome. It was a long process but finally I am done.
Dr B is a very professional surgeon, dedicated, detail oriented, and he gave me a lot of confidence, giving me all the option before I take my big decision about breast reconstruction.

Now I have this bitter and sweet feeling, Dr B, and his practice were part of my process of healing and wellness and I would never forget my time there.
