“Excellent and Caring Physician”
I am a patient of Dr. Garrido, as are several of my friends and family members. I have been very pleased at the amount of time Dr. Garrido spends, how direct and involved he becomes in the care of the aged, how well he is able to manage numerous chronic conditions, as well as his overall patience and understanding in dealing with people's problems. He is the first physician I have encountered in my adult life who actually seems to care about me as a person that wants to be healthy, not as someone in whom he can pop a pill and call it medicine. He is hard to get an appointment with, but it is worth the wait to get in as once he is your physician it is a little easier to have follow up visits. The only problem remains is that he practices at the Center for Medical Arts, formerly the Carbondale Clinic. In over 40 years the management at this site have yet to figure out how to schedule appointments so that physicians don't fall too far behind (Dr Garrido is usually very close to on time though), and fail miserably in understanding that there might be such a thing as customer service skills to help in registration, scheduling, and billing. Dr. Garrido is top-notch!!! So glad he decided to set up his practice in Carbondale. We are very lucky to have such talent here.
