“If you like rude and disrespectful, you'll love her...”
My sister has been going to this doctor for 2 years and has bragged about her so much, how she spends time with her, listens to her, asks if she has any questions. So today I went with my sister to meet this "nice" doctor. Both she and I were shocked at the treatment she received, the dismissal of even the smallest question, and talking over my sister, shutting her down when she was still asking a question.. or should I rather say, by her verbal actions essentially telling her to just shut up. She was defensive and rude when my sister was asking to get a second opinion about her health problem...saying with a snarl "WHERE IS THIS HEADED?" Mind you, the second opinion had nothing to do with her...it had to do with a surgeon in Oakland she saw. So why the attitude? The doctor was half an hour late coming in, then told my sister there was good news and bad news. She only got around to the good news, then stood up and DISMISSED us, letting us know our appointment was over and any other concerns would have to wait until 3 weeks from now. There is more to this story, but not enough room to put it all here. My poor sister...she was so shook up, hurt, and embarrassed. Tears soon followed in the car...I hardly said 1 word while I watched what was going on, so I know it wasn't anything I said or did to tick her off. I think I did get to say "hello" and read 1 question for my sister since she didn't have her glasses...
