“Doesn't truly listen to you”
Throws out labels without enough information. She is good if you are a normal person with relationship problems. If there is a mental health issue in your relationship, look elsewhere. She will just try to throw regular therapies at you, which won't work, because they're not targeting the underlying mental health issues. She also will tell you to read a lot of books, and they will be for normal couples without mental health issues, and they won't actually help.
She administers EMDR. That stuff is amazing, but it's not due to some special skill she has. You can get as good of EMDR therapy elsewhere. If you don't give her all of the answers, if you are any bit of a challenge, she will tell you that she doesn't know how to help you. She might even tell you that you and your partner are not compatible because you have differences. She might even call one of you abusive and then change a few weeks later to call the other one abusive, when in reality, neither of you are abusive (but have both previously been abused and have PTSD from it). If conflict or not being listened to triggers old childhood trauma, she will tell you that you don't know how to take criticism and maybe you have a mental disorder like her cousin.
When you tell her what you think you need help with and what modality you feel would be most effective, if she disagrees, she will dismiss it and tell you to do it her way. If you don't, she will say she doesn't know how to help you. I gave her a year, hoping she'd do better when she got to know me and my spouse. We're both getting a new therapist who actually listens to us, and actually does the work to help.
