“Disabled instructional assistant with years of experience left embarrassed and humiliated.”
Extremely kind nurse. Friendly staff. However, without prior examination of my records the Dr. apparently jumped to the conclusion that I was not, in fact, a retired professional who was experiencing pain and sleepless night for the last 5 years. Rather, I was portrayed as one of the jonesing junkies who hung around his office looking for a script. He advised me if that was all I was looking for, he could just refer me to someone in the Gainesville area as he was not going to be a pill prescriber. Gainesville being an hour away. I am disabled. I receive disability and people don't just get checks for this for no reason. He proceeded to slash my meds in half and try several different sleep meds. These different sleep meds kept my eyes pinned open. After several more embarrassing visits here (because I am actually humble enough to accept that there might be room for improvement on my part), I finally found a Dr. who understood that I had a chronic pain problem, was not a junkie or AA reject and actually helped me and this doctor was right in town - NOT Gainesville. Thanks, but no thanks. Praying over someone that they should be made whole does not make them whole. It's like sending a child away from your door saying go thy way and be whole and not giving them a piece of bread!!
