“Trust = 0”
After moving back to Bakersfield I began the horrendous chore of finding appropriate physicians. We have two different insurance carriers. After a few "bumps" I came across Dr Nichols. I called his office to get confirmation that they did accept both of our insurance plans. I was Very specific and the person who answered the phone took the time to verify with another staff person that the insurance was something they accepted. Appointment made. When we arrived - 20 minutes early as requested - we were informed that they did Not take one of the insurances. I refuse to move forward with this medical practice. I can't trust their work, their word, knowledge. Will they tell me something because it is the easy thing to do that day.. only to discover a very different reality later? Trusting a physician is paramount. Trusting the staff is a part of that. But trust is earned and once broken it is Gone. Too bad I didn't get a chance to find out if the medical professionals had more going on in their head than the front office staff.
