“Not Recommended”
I've been slightly near sighted for 20 years so have seen quite a few optometrists in my time. Dr. Schwers was by far, the worst I ever had. I left his office after my initial examination and contact fitting 2 years ago with an uneasy feeling. The doctor recommended indepth examinations an took images of my retinas stating that these procedures were required and my medical insurance will cover them. I was unsure but allowed the procedures for fear that something might be really wrong. I was due for another examination and just came back last month. Again, additional procedures were recommended eventhough my eyes were perfectly fine after the first set of tests. I left with a reconfirmed feeling that this doctor was more interested in generating additional revenue instead of interested in doing the best for his patients. I spoke with a couple other neighbors who have seen the same doctor. Apparently he recommended all these additional tests to them as well although they never had any issues with their eyes. So stay away from this office unless you have four or five hundred dollars to throw away on unnecessary procedures.
