“Incompetent and unprofessional”
Dr Chang was the on call nephrologist when my dialysis unit called for guidance concerning an inr of over 6. Her instructions were for me to hold my dose for 3 days with no questions asked. Knowing this was a bad idea as a week before I had held my dose only one day and my inr went from 4.6 to 2.1 I disagreed wholeheartedly. 4 days later and I am now in the hospital at high risk of stroke with an inr of 1.3. I only held my dose for 2 days going against her direction of 3 days. I feel like she was trying to kill me. I have been completely stressed out for days and my blood pressure reflects that. Further, when I asked the nurse to get me a lab order to have my extremely high inr rechecked a few days later, I was told that she completely reamed him for asking. Two hours later, she faxed the order. Very unprofessional and dangerously incompetent.
