“Thorough medical team”
I saw Dr. Daftari after 4 1/2 years of enduring back pain. I actually found ratings for him on sites like this one. I chose Dr. Daftari because of his location, availability, and his online ratings. My first impression of Dr. Daftari was that he was somewhat impersonal. His staff, however, was very personable. Since surgeons are known to be impersonal due to the nature of their work, this had little effect on me. The second time I met with Dr. Daftari, he took an x-ray, and I showed him a recent MRI. He determined that disc replacement (my original hope) was not an option due to the amount of degeneration that had already occured and explained thoroughly (using visual aid) the ALIF procedure. If I ever had a question afterwards, I could count on his staff to give me accurate information. The surgery was done on 7/7/2009, and although I’m merely 2 weeks post surgery, my healing is going well, and my back pain seems to be a thing of the past! I am very happy with the care I received.
