“One of the best physical therapy experiences I've had”

I highly recommend Dr. Sunderraj. He was conscientious and knowledgeable, and I always felt like he was focused and concerned with providing me with the best care possible. A great guy, and a great rehab experience. I wouldn't recommend getting injured, but if you do, Steve's the guy to go to.

“Very professional & friendly!”

Steven helped me with my knee injury as well as my shoulder injury. Both times he did an excellent job. He's very attentive and knowledgeable, and very clear on explaining things. I've seen a few different physical therapists, and he's the best by far!

“EXCELLENT, SKILLED, PATIENT, ENCOURAGING, ACCOMMODATING!!”

Steven Sunderraj is the best physical therapist in New York City! I used to suffer immense pain due to a dislocated knee cap 4 years back. For years I tried different treatments but nothing worked. Since going to Dr. Sunderraj I no longer am in pain and I am stronger than ever, even stronger than before the injury! This has been a life savor! I highly recommend Steven Sunderraj! In addition to his excellent skills he is patient, encouraging and accommodating!

“Steve is a top-notch physical therapist!”

Steve is extremely knowledgeable and his a wide repertoire of exercises and stretches to fit almost any situation. I've been seeing him for two different injuries and have made major progress with both issues. He keeps a fun atmosphere in the gym which helps to get through the sometimes difficult routines. He also knows great specialists for when a referral to a doctor is necessary. I would wholeheartedly recommend working with Steve.

“A highly effective treatment”

Steve listened to my pain descriptions and identified where mobility was missing. Steve came up with a system to attack these these problems and my pain has diminished and is continuing to improve. He has given me the toolset to watch and maintain the problematic on my own.

“Extremely thorough and motivating!”

This has been my first experience with a physical therapist, but I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Sunderraj. From day one he has always offered me accurate opinions, and has been patient and clear when explaining his diagnoses. He has recommended specialists to help us understand the nature of my problems when he needs further clarification, and has always been honest about the timeline for rehabilitation of my injuries. The program he uses has changed my pain into power!

“Awesome Physical thearpist”

It's been an awesome experience working with Steve. I started seeing him about a year and a half ago for a torn ACL and meniscus and now i'm am back to skiing, rock climbing, and skateboarding, I am even running a half marathon and a tough mudder this summer. Steve is a funny guy and very personable, he will spend the time to make sure that you get better.

“Got me back on the slopes!”

When I tore my ACL I knew I had a long process ahead of me with physical therapy. Steve not only made my leg strong again, but he makes the therapy easy and joyful. Each day I'd leave feeling stronger and somehow had a great time doing it. Today I'm back up at the mountain skiing.

“Great physician and teacher”

I was suffering from a disk herniation in my lower back and had gone to other physical therapy clinics in the past but the pain was still present. Dr. Sunderraj showed me that there is more to physical therapy than electric stim and getting a massage. He not only treated me, but he educated me on how to stay healthy and what I could do to prevent further injuries.

“Highly recommended; Dr Sunderraj was a lifesaver”

I was a patient of Dr Sunderraj (Steve) for knee & shoulder pain. I was worried i’d never be able to fully exercise again. Steve listened carefully to my issues, developed a step-by-step path to increased mobility & improved strength, and worked with me diligently to help me overcome my stiffness and aches. He was great. After completing his regimen, I was able to (slowly) start resistance exercises & aerobics. Now, after a year or so of steady improvement, I’m at the gym regularly, good as new!

I've been working with Dr. Sunderraj for 6 months. I had an issue with my shoulders.

Dr. Sunderraj is patient and will listen to all your needs. He has a system to improve your movements and physical health.

He accurately diagnosis your issue and helps you get back feeling 100%.

“The best PT experience”

Steve was very knowledgeable, caring and fun to work with. I had multiple injuries in the past few years and I always worked with him because I knew I could trust him. His diagnostics were always accurate, and he listened to my concerns and gave me great advices. If you’re an athlete looking to not only fix your injuries but to regain strength and physical ability to play sports, I highly recommend him.

“Professional care with great social interaction that made me feel relax and my experience enjoyable.”

The treatment that Dr. Sunderraj started to show within the first couple of weeks working with him. His explanation of the problem and how to fix it was straight to the point with professional guidance. He is also an overall fun guy to work with. Has a great way to make you feel relax and comfortable while doing the work. It’s makes your visit fun and something to look forward to. I feel very lucky and grateful to work with Dr. Sunderraj. “Steve is an excellent physical therapist and I highly recommend him.”

Steve is the physical therapist you need for sports rehab. I've been to other providers for different injuries who basically want you to stop training. Steve understands you need to get back to training.

He listens to you, He works with you. He creates a program for you that takes you slowly, then quickly from totally out of commission to back fully and better than before. And he's a super nice guy!

I had a rotator cuff/frozen shoulder that hurt like hell when I went to see him. At the end of my rehab he had me doing weighted pull ups. I recommend him to anyone who needs the right kind of physical therapy. Steve's the man.

“Excellent experience all around!”

Steve is a awesome physical therapist as well as a great strength and conditioning coach. He really understood how to get my knee back to 100% after ACL surgery. I'm a competitive athlete and without his guidance I doubt I would be able to do what I love (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) at the same capacity as I can now. As a bonus, he has a great sense of humor and bedside manor. Highly recommended!

“Professional, knowledgeable, personable-- wonderful therapist!!!”

Having sustained a wrist injury for 2 months with no improvement, I went to see Dr. Sunderraj with little hope and much frustration. As a dancer/culinary artist, my wrists are very crucial to my career. He listened attentively and designed a program customized to my kind of functional movement, and in as little as 2 weeks' time, I saw much improvement! I'm now 2.5months into my program and am all the world better than when I started! I am confident that anyone will heal under Dr.S's care.

“Excellent recovery from ankle injury”

I've been seeing Steve for more than a year after breaking my tibia, fibula and tearing a ligament in my ankle. Including the follow-up surgery, the recovery time was 18 months.

Steve and I did everything from range of motion to strength training to cardio and athletic drills, pushing toward a full recovery. Scheduling visits was always flexible and the work was effective.

“Best physical therapy experience”

Dr. Sunderraj went beyond my expectations. I've experienced P.T. in various clinics for the same condition. It wasn't until Dr. Sunderraj that I was able to find the correct diagnosis for my injury. After Osteotomy surgery, at Recaliberate I was able to feel confident with my long recovery period. My surgeon was even amazed with how well I was advancing through the process. Thanks to this experience I will be able to return to competitive basketball at a faster rate, and stronger than before.

“Steve got me back running!!”

I was having trouble with my ankles and calves for quite awhile before i decided it was time to see a Physio. It was really limiting my football training and i was having difficulty running. When i met with Steve he diagnosed the root of my problems and put me on a rehab program. After a month doing the program with Steve i was back running and felt stronger than ever. I feel like i am a better overall athlete after working with Steve and i am looking forward to working with him in the future.

“Quality over quantity!!”

I have played all different types of Contact Sports since I was a kid. A couple of years ago I found out I had two degenerated discs that were also completely out of whack. After going to traditional Medical doctors their suggestion was to do surgery where they insert a bit of cushion in my back and put a metal cage to align my spine. After considerable consideration I decided not to get this type of operation instead go at a more natural approach. I owe my life to mr. And dr. Steve sunderraj.

“Amazing. MIRACLE WORKER!!!”

Steve is nothing short of a miracle worker. He took me from a devastating ACL injury post-surgery all the way to 100%, back to competing in amateur Mixed Martial Arts again. If that doesn't speak volumes to his ability, I don't know what will.

“The only PT I trust”

It looks ridiculous to score 5 stars on everything but that's how good Steve is. I have seen 6 different physical therapists over 15 years for my dislocated shoulder and did not make any progress with any of them until I saw Steve. Within 6 weeks I had much more mobility than I had in 15 years and within 6 months had mobility and strength that rivaled my good shoulder. He has also worked with me successfully on treating a back injury and leg and back strength.

“Truly reliable and knowledgeable service”

Steve is an awesome PT. He's able to work on your injuries and push your body to do exercises you didn't think you were able to do before. He's able to assess issues immediately and more than willing to answer and explain any worries and concerns you may have. We were able to find the source of my injury and work our way from there together.
He knew what had to be done and pushed me to work through the rigor exercises he assigned. Awesome guy! Would def recommend!
