“Cindy Wemette cancer patient”
the first time I met Dr. Nesbit was February 1st, 2013. For a consultation for reconstruction at the same time as my mastectomy. I am not impressed easily but I was very impressed with him and his knowledge base. Arrogant no! Absolutely sure of his abilities as a Plastic Surgeon - Definitely YES! He is not only the best in his field in my opinion but we had a connection right from the beginning. He has the most amazing bedside manner, he is very caring and compassionate. He works well with other doctors in and out of the operating room which, he has shown time and again! If I need him day or night he is only a phone call away! He has been there for me right from the beginning. He has called on his own time, on weekends to check on me not his nurse but he himself. He knows how to put my mind at ease as I have had some very difficult times over the past few months nofault of his! My body just didn't deal well with some of the surgery but he was there to fix everything. He has never put me off or made me feel like I wasn't important. In fact I would say he makes me feel like I am part of his family and he puts me first! As I am sure he does all of his patients. When you have cancer the one thing that you want when you walk into your doctors office is to know that your doctor can take care of you no matter what comes up, no matter what problem arises. He always has a plan B established. you also want a smile and nice conversation, you want to know that your doctor actually knows you and cares and Dr. Nesbit most certainly does. I can not reiterate that enough. I not only get the smile but all the positive words that I could possibly want. And don't let his background in plastics make you think that he starts and ends there because his knowledge base is much rounder than that. He has given me great advice for helping me get through my chemo treatments including nutrition and exercise. And has even met me in the chemo room for a problem where he had to do a minimal surgery before I could go to chemo. I will be with Dr. Nesbit for a long time to come for future reconstruction and I feel I am in the most capable hands ever! I feel safe with his confidence and feel I can talk to him about anything. He is as I say awesome and amazing!
