Dr. Denton is highly qualifed as an Eye Doctor as she received her doctorate in 2009 from Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University, interned at Duke University Eye Center, Detroit Veteran's Administration Hospital and Optometrist Institure and Clinic of Detroit. She completed her Residency at Bauscom Palmer Eye Institute of Miami with an Ocular Disease Specialty and completed her MBA from Western Carolina University in 2015.

Dr. Denton has worked with these North Carolina practices to gain experience before opening her own office: Henderson EyeCare, Aldridge Eye Institute, Envision Eyecare and Elite Eyecare. She is a member of the North Carolina State Society of Optometry, the American Optometric Association and Vice President of Women of Vision and fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.

Because of her product expertise, Dr. Denton is a National Lecturer for Alcon Pharmaceuticals, Alcon Contact Lenses, Allergan Phamaceuticals and Bausch and Lomb. She is available to speak to all age groups to build the importance of vision health. Her concern and expertise will be advantageous to Rowan County as she is passionate about patient care, optometry education, and giving back to the community. Her clinical interests are Pediatric Care, Ocular Disease and Contact Lenses.
