I was very reluctant to have another surgery performed that would require anesthesia, after an intense anesthesia experience during the removal of a brain tumor. I was referred to Dr. Maack from a friend a few years ago for sinus issues. At the time I was unsure if I wanted to get anything cosmetic done, so I just had the sinus procedure. After experiencing how knowledgeable and kind everybody was, I came back to do the cosmetic part. I had rhinoplasty and a chin implant to balance my face, I had no idea I would love the chin as much as the nose. I felt completely comfortable asking questions and understanding my face. Dr. Maack looked at my upper eyelids, that were clearly drooping onto my eyelashes and assured me he could fix the problem.
The pre-op packet was VERY informative, Dr. Maack's description of what would take place was spot on.
The surgery was painless - never took a pain pill or any Tylenol. The sensation was kind of like having a "raspberry" on your arm or leg - it burned a little bit - NOT painful.
I only took one week off work, that was plenty. VERY satisfied with the results.

Dr. Maack besides being a real gentle man he is an excellent surgeon. He listens attentively and explains what he is going to do in an easy to understand manner. He showed me how he was going to remove my growth in order to minimize scarring and any facial cavities.

“I dont know why I waited so long”

Dr. Maack did a great job on my Septoplasty surgery. I should have never waited so long to have it done. He explained to me what the procedure was, what post op would be like, and what I could expect. I had minimal pain from the procedure. My first post op appt was great. He was able to clear my nose up even more to help my breathing. My septum was very crooked and definitely needed to be done to improve my breathing. It has done so even five days post op and I know it will only get better!

i came in after my nose was was smashed from a accident. Dr Maack explained everything very clearly to me and had me well prepared. But he couldnt prepare me enough for the rush of happy tears i felt when i saw my nose a week later. even with the 50% swelling, it brought me to tears. Happy isnt even the word!!!!!

Dr. Maack did the same surgery last week and there is no comparison as to how well I did this time compared to the previous surgery. Where I was previous to surgery waking and gasping for air, I am now sleeping well and waking with energy.

I had constant sinus infections and was unable to breath out of my nose for years. Dr. Maack was excellent in explaining the procedure and why I couldn't breath. He assured me he could fix everything without swelling, or bruising.

I had the surgery and he was totally right. The surgery was fast and basically pain free. I was back at work in three days with no bruising or swelling. No one could tell I even had surgery to look at me, but the big difference was I could breath again!

I had a great experience with Dr. Maack. I had sort of unusual case where there was a lot of work that had to be done. I had suffered from a sport injury from when i was younger and i had to get my cartilage removed from nose and in doing so it pretty much blocked the air flow into my nose so i could barely breath out of my nose. after seeing the results of my surgery i am completely satisfied with the results.

I saw Dr. Maack initially 5 years ago to discuss surgery to fix my deviated septum. I held off due to the fear of pain. After a weeklong hike in Peru this summer, I was ready to do the surgery so that I could breathe normally. Almost a week after my surgery, I'm very pleased with the result. My pain was minimal and more of a discomfort for the first 24 hours. Dr. Maack cleaned out both nostrils 5 days post-op, and I immediately breathed better. So grateful I did this surgery.

My nose was broken when playing football as a child. My left nostril was 95% closed and my right was severely obstructed. I lived with this for 40+ years. I had a deviated septum that i needed to have fixed and i asked Dr Maack if he could do anything for my undereye bags. He suggested bhleropasty on my eyes and i had that four days ago i am extremely happy with my results. The bags were immediately gone and i can breath easily for the first time in a long time. He was a great doctor and i cannot recommend him highly enough. I was afraid i would have pain and swelling but i had no pain and minimal swelling.
