I had random chest pains that woke me from my sleep bout five months ago. I went to the ER and they ran test to see what was wrong and told me they had no cause for emergency medical concern, and referred me to a cardiologist. That office and Dr. were not interested in least bit about me or my concerns. I wish that cardiologist had been Dr. Shalaby and his team, because they are helpful, attentive, sweet, and caring. I am self pay, meaning I have no insurance, and they were more affordable than I thought they'd be. (Its still a medical profession, so you're going to pay more than you'd like, but absolutely within reason). All in all, my experience with this Dr., his staff, and his/his teams care have been A+.

One of the most frustrating aspects of healthcare for me has to do with the inefficiencies of scheduling, patients waiting, and seeing the doctor. Waiting for long periods while office staff take care of administrivia frustrates me. In my opinion, those activities don't have to take place in front of patient.

In 2010 I had a major heart attack and was pronounced dead, revived and taken to local hospital. Dr Shalby repaired (stented) the blockage and looked after my recovery. From there he put me on track to improve my health status and for the last few years I have improved to where I feel better than I did for a few years prior to the heart attack. Felling 10-12 yrs younger.
