My first Ultra sound was done at the HMC rather than at the vein Institute. if you do this procedure, get your ultra sound at the vein institute!!!! The wrong vein was mapped at the HMC and the laser surgery was not done as planned. But Dr Tonnessen recognized this and worked with was what was approved by the insurance company and he did a scelaratherapy on the groin vein that was giving me great pain. My pain was taken away right away! Great staff! Sue is the best ultra sound tech, go with her for all your ultra sounds!

From the very first time I came to the Vein Institute,my experience was a positive one. Dr. Tonnessen was very patient, and informative regarding the procedures he was going to use to treat my venous insufficiency. He answered all of my questions readily, and was very reassuring regarding the outcome. I really had confidence in his ability, and his caring nature. Every one of his staff was just as amazing in their support and genuine concern. They all really work together as a team, and it goes a long way to make for a good experience overall. Since the procedures, all of my leg cramps have stopped! They had previously been waking me up 2 to 3 times per night. For this alone I am very grateful.
