University Health Emergency Department Lakewood provides residents of Eastern Jackson County with round–the-clock access to care. The 20-bed emergency center treats more than 30,000 patients annually for a range of issues from minor medical emergencies to life-threatening conditions. Express ED, a quick-access emergency service, provides access to physicians, nurse practitioners, and additional specialty services not available from a typical urgent care center, in an hour or less.
