Dr Jazini works at the Virginia Spine Institiute. They first evaluate via a NP and then Dr Jazini sees you. On initial consultation they conducted an onsite X-ray of my entire neck and back. After this I was sent for an MRI of my cervical and thoracic spin and from that and my x-rays, the diagnosis was consistent with my understanding of my prior injuries which occurred while flying jets in the US Navy. He took time to explain that I likely had a small fracture in my C-4 bone and that the MRI showed a small tear in the disc between the C-4 and C-5 joint. He prescribed Naproxen and 12 physical therapy sessions. He demonstrated a quick yet through evaluation and was willing to listen. He talks quickly and exudes a presence that builds the caring and confidence in his evaluation and diagnosis. I would recommend him to others I know if they have problems with their neck or back.

I have been a patient of Dr Good's since 2013. At that time I came into the office in acute pain from a ruptured disc. We tried to take care of it non surgically to no avail. About a month after the incident - I had a successful disc replacement surgery.

Fast forward 5 years - again in acute pain - I came back to the office. This time I had 2 herniations. I'm super happy to report that these were taken care of without the need for surgery. Dr. Good is about as thorough of a doctor as you are going to find. He listens to all of the information you share with him, processes it, and then provides valuable feedback. Dr. Good has performed two difficult spine surgeries to correct an ongoing condition. These surgeries included installing posts for support, fusion, new discs and more. Both of my recoveries went very well and unexpectedly almost painless. Unfortunately, I had nerve damage when I first went to see Dr. Good. However, after surgery some of that damage has been reversed as I am walking so much better now than pre-surgery and I can continue on with my active life, living on a sailboat in the Caribbean. I have had my back (L6 to T2) fused twice (2012, 2014) and a disk replaced in my neck. His bedside manner fully complements his technical skills. In 2012, I had 2 practices tell me there was nothing they could do to help. I have degenerative disk/joint disease and have had both shoulders (2014, 2015) replaced successfully by a Doctor recommended by him. Recently I had my right hip replaced and the left scheduled for April. I have seen many practices, and as a whole, VSI has been the best from the top down and truly shows sincere interest by the time given to their patients. My condition would have left me paralyzed and possibly dead by now. I had thyroid cancer in the middle of this journey. I've always felt cared for.

I met Dr. Good when I was experiencing severe lower back pain that was negatively impacting my ability to walk and function in my daily life. He quickly identified that I had a bulging/disintegrating disc that was likely the culprit. At this moment in my life, my pain was clearly a 9 of 10 (10 being severe) and I was having to lay on the floor with lots of ice frequently throughout the day. I believed I was likely destined for surgery right away, but Dr. Good spent time evaluating and diagnosing my problem and deciding upon a treatment of drugs (short duration) and a steroid injection...and most importantly therapy as our first course of action. However, he also took considerable time to walk me through a plethora of other paths forward if this treatment did not bring me the relief I needed. He educated me and ensured that I understood my condition and how I could best help myself. My follow-up meetings with him continued to be filled with information and insight. I am deeply grateful.
