I have been in pain for years and decided to come to VSI for a second opinion. While meeting with Dr. Nguyen he mentioned stem cells. We talked about diagnostic tests that would be done and I decided this was the right path for me. I had my stem cell procedure 0n Februry 24, It is now April 9 and I can not put into words how truly life changing this has been for me. I had pain and was not very mobile before the procedure... I am almost pain free and I am increasing my activities every day. I am absolutely grateful beyond words that my path crossed with Dr. Nguyen.

Dr. Nguyen believes that surgery should be the last resort. I had severe continuous back pain in C3-C5. We started with cortisone shots, then radio-frequency ablation, and episiotomies; all worked for a year, then reduced in helpfulness. Finally, rather than fusion surgery, Dr. Nguyen proposed Stem Cell Injections, which was not covered by insurance. It was the best money I've ever spent! It took ~15 months for the stem cells to reach full growth and my pain slowly reduced. Now, I can golf again! I rarely feel any pain at all; only when I overexert myself, and it goes away by the next day. Thank you, Dr. Nguyen!

I have been a patient of Dr. Nguyen for almost 11 years. I first came to VSI for a 2nd opinion to evaluate severe low back pain. After over one year of conservative management, I needed a three level lumbar spinal fusion. Following that surgery, and later, two more, I've needed continuing pain management. I've had Dr. Nguyen from the beginning. I cannot overstate how much I respect his expertise in dealing with issues I've had. He and the other physicians here have kept me able to function independently. I genuinely feel that I'd be confined to a wheelchair if it weren't for Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Haines.

Recently, I fell which affected my back and it hurt like hell. Due to my past experience at VSI I called Dr. Nguyen and saw him on two visits where he administered two back injection which relieved my back almost immediately to 100%.
The staff is very VERY pleasant and make you feel welcome and the the patients feel they most important people in the office. They were very helpful in getting me ready to see Dr. Nguyen.
I would highly rate his experience and knowledge when it comes to diagnosing pain troubles. I have been seeing Dr. Nguyen for 4 years now. He listens to me and never rushes through our appointments. He truly makes me feel like I am a person and not a number. My physical problems and pain levels fluctuate constantly which would make some others give up (this has happened to me 2x previous times before coming here). I honestly can say that if doctors would take the time to connect and have a conversation with their patient VS. TELLING people would feel more valued and know that the patient and the doctor work together to be solution based.
