I only waited five minutes before I was called into the office. The assistants were helpful. They told me exactly what they were going to do. When they were finished Dr. Gooch came in for the exam. He examined both eyes and dictated notes to the nurse. I would recommend this doctor and staff to my family and friends.

I have been going to Dr. Gooch since early March of this year. He was able to diagnosis my eye issues of which my diplopia (double vision) was the biggest. My other out of state doctor wasn't able to correctly identify the problem. He also saw my cataracts and set me up for surgery with St. Luke's in Sumter Landing with Dr. Ireland. In summery, in just 4 months my years long vision issues have been resolved and my ability to enjoy my life very much improved. I give Dr. Gooch and the St. Luke's team all the credit.

Now, the infection that one doctor has told me that another Doctor in the practice had caused, has caused some permanent damage. Dr. Gooch said he'd see me in a year. I said, but I cannot see. He "thinks" I could pass a Drivers test, and that "maybe" glasses might help. I have spent hours and hours over the past eight months waiting for delayed appointments, and all the headache and heartache of permanent damage that they created. Not to mention I paid thousands for this eye to have mono vision, which I have enjoyed for twenty years with previous lasik surgery, only to find out it did not work, and my sight is sketchy. Yes, see you next year.

Then we have Dr. Gooch, my first visit with him, but he is my wife's doctor, and she loves him. He's okay (lol) but seriously, very professional and to the point. Explained what my situation is and what he planned to do for me. My wife has been a patient of St. Luke's for years, I have been about a year, year and a half maybe. I can promise you if someone asks me about recommending an eye doctor, St. Luke's is it.

The field vision test was performed yesterday by a very experienced technician. She was wonderful to talk to and was very good at e plaining the steps of my test. I have an appointment for my annual eye test in 2 weeks at which time the doctor will go over the results of my Field Vision test. I know have a baseline for comparison on future test moving forward.

I suffered for years with double vision which got more problematic after I got cataract surgery in NY. I had 20/20 vision but saw double at night. Dr. Gooch was the only eye doctor that told me I needed Prism lenses to focus my eyes correctly. A year ago I started to get flashes in my eye. I called the office in the evening. They called me back right anway and Dr. Gooch made room in his schedule to see me. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Gooch gave me a extensive exam for my double vision. It was so good to hear there was an explanation but some more investigation to do too. He answered all of my questions that I had at the time and I feel he will be the best one to discuss some test results at my next appointment. I was very impressed on how he worked my head angles to find the problem. I always hope for a quick fix but the depth of Dr. Gooch's understanding helped me realize the time and tests will take care of this issue, eventually.

Dr. Gooch took his time explaining my diagnosis, reassuring me and making sure I was comfortable with his explanations. The staff were very friendly, professional and made the testing a breeze. Pleasant office environment from the welcoming area, waiting areas and the actual rooms where testing was done. Care was taken when cleaning equipment and the office spaces were also neat and tidy. Great experience!!
