Everything went well except wait to see Dr. For some reason he was really backed up roughly hour and a half to two hours before I actuaĺly saw Dr but the kept us notified of delay and offered refreshments while everyone waited.

Did a quick examination of the eye and pronounced all is well and healing fine. Then asked if I had questions. Answered one or two of my questions regarding care for the eye and appeared to be willing to stay to answer any question I may have had. Unfortunately, I wasn't really sure of his role in the process but not sure how much that mattered.

There was a concern in the post op visit on 11-6-23 following cataract and lens replacement surgery in the right eye on 11-2-23, that the pressure in the right eye which had been at 16 before the surgery and was 11 just after the surgery, had gone to 34 on 11-6-23. Dr. Miranda prescribed eye drops and had me take some diuretic pills, both of which took the pressure back down to 11 in the right eye on 11-7-23. He also wanted me to continue taking those pressure lowering eye drops until 11-16-23 when he would determine if I had to continue to take the pressure lowering eye drops in the right eye, and also checking on the pressure in the left eye which is scheduled for cataract and lens replacement surgery on 11-9-23. I am very impressed about the detailed level of medical investigation and the high level of medical care that I get from St. Luke's. Richard Baumer

My cataract surgery went very well and the follow-up(s) with Dr. Miranda went extremely well. His one of the few Dr. in the villages that will take the time to actually answer all questions and makes you feel that everything I asked is important.

Pressures on the right eye which had cataract surgery last Thursday, had gone from 16 before the surgery, to 11 just after to 34 on Monday. Dr. Miranda prescribed yesterday some eye drops and also a diuretic which today brought the right eye's pressure by today down to 11.
