I was very scared when I first met Dr Horesh because I had 2 broken arms and a shattered shoulder from an accident and only 4 days after discharge from hospital, I learned I had a detached retina also. Dr Horesh was very kind and understanding and put me at ease, even though I was facing emergency surgery that very same day. He went out of his way to reassure me that we would work this out. The surgery was better than I imagined and now my eyesight is back to normal.

It took me over a year to overcome my fear of surgery, but my floaters were increasingly difficult to manage. Had the vitrectomy on both eyes and my vision is now perfect. I went from looking through a haze to looking through a clear pane of glass. Awesome experience!!!!!

I could not absorb all the information he was telling me amd some of it was frightening. He asked if I had questions and it all happened too quickly for me to formulate any. I was given three sheets of printed information age related degenerative eye disease but I was stunned by this diagnosis and needed more time to discuss.

My eye disease has required me to come to St. Luke’s once a month for the last seven months. With so many visits I have seen a variety of technicians who help Dr. Horesh prepare me for my eye injection and evaluate my eye health and prognosis. Positive attitudes and caring providers have made my difficult injections so much easier. Dr. Horesh is a consummate professional who cared enough to call me at home and check on me. He is an amazing doctor!
